Here’s a sample of our past government performance:

Provided communications support to a Coast Guard’s Public Affairs client in structuring the Coast Guard’s external news site, MyCG. Initially provided programatic and strategic support, as well as, authored and gave presentations about MyCG on behalf of client to stakeholder audiences. Transitioned into team lead for the growing contractor team and created article content while overseeing and editing the work of the team, as needed. Developed communications action plans for specific program offices to assist in message distribution. In 2021 received a coin from Adm. Karl L. Schultz, former commandant, in recognition of my work on the project.

Led communications work products for Coast Guard’s Office of Mission Support including social media efforts, strategic communications plan development, script writing (for videos), as well as, article writing. Provided writing and editing skills for key collateral materials including The Human Capital Strategy, A Week in the Life at the Coast Guard and the Mission Support Doctrine. Supported client in recreating the DCMS Communication Council; was a regular presenter, handled social media, strategy and even provided regular training to other Mission Support communicators.

Led a communications work stream on the US Department of Agriculture’s Food and Nutrition Service WIC Technology initiative. Responsible for strategic communications plans, PowerPoint presentations and other requested project management documents. Periodically facilitated communications workshops for client and provided information-specific webinar and weekly status updates to the client and participating State agencies. Within role, oversaw management of two team members and the affiliated work on the PartnerWeb SharePoint site, WIC Technology Partners Website, as well as, metrics reports and social media outreach.

Led a communications a four-month study on how to attract and retain diverse entrepreneurs for Howard County Economic Authority’s Maryland Innovation Center (MIC) programming. Interviewed various segments of the county’s diverse entrepreneur communities and devised a perennation on findings and a report recommendations of their programming needs. Provided the final presentation to the organization’s leadership and workforce.

Organized a team to be a subcontractor on a contract with a Diversity and Inclusion company to conduct a marketing study on the Coast Guard’s core values and how they are leveraged into a diverse and inclusive workforce culture. In partnership, Rey.Comm. participated in creating the survey for the study and participated in the findings. Also built the detailed, 70-page communications strategy for diversity and inclusion.
